Description
This elegant and straightforward sweater knits up quickly from bottom up in Aran or Worsted weight yarns. The raglan construction features decreases at different rate to get more of a fitted feel. Short rows are used to shape a scoop neck and to lift the back of the neck at the same time.
Finished bust circumference: 30 (33, 36, 39, 42, 45, 48, 51) inches / 76 (84, 91.5, 99, 106.5, 114.5, 122, 129.5) cm
Yarn: Approximately 370 (410, 450, 480, 520, 560, 590, 630)m / 670 (740, 810, 870, 940, 1010, 1070, 1140)yrds in any yarn that knits to the specified tension. Sample done in New Lanark Heather Mixtures Aran 100% wool; approximately 165m per 100g skein in Bramble – 4 (4, 5, 5, 6, 6, 6, 7) 100g balls.
Gauge: 16 sts and 22 rnds to measure 4x4 in / 10x10 cm in st st
Needles and notions: One 32inch (80cm) size 5mm (US8) circular needle. One 16inch (40cm) size 5mm (US8) circular needle or a set of double pointed needles of the same size for sleeves. For sizes 42 (45, 48, 51) only you would also need above needles in size 4.5 (US7) for working the lace Four stitch markers (one of them in contrast colour) and tapestry needle.
