BRYONY – FOR YARN STORIES

Bryony by Katya Frankel, Yarn Stories

There’s nothing quite like a summer picnic on the moor. Gentle breeze, the gorse filling the air with a scent of coconut, and a jug of lemonade were all part of the inspiration for Bryony. Knitted in two
pieces this top fits loosely in the upper body. The textured stitch pattern adds interest to an otherwise simple garment and is easy to memorise.

Bryony was devised as a loosely fitted, comfy sweater to pull over your head when you need to get out of the house in a hurry. It looks good with a pair of trousers or a dress and channels chic. It's knitted in two pieces, from the bottom up, using an intuitive stitch pattern. The sleeves are shaped simultaneously as the body progresses into a semblance of a batwing, but without much bulk at the underarm. There is also some neck shaping at the front to make the fit just right.
Bryony was knitted in a DK weight Yarn Stories merino DK that comes in 20 gorgeous shades, from  naturals to some very rich tones.

You can buy the pattern on Ravelry or the Yarn Stories website.
