Hair band

For some strange reason I was convinced it was April 1 today and almost nearly published tomorrow's post earlier this morning; so much for being a housewife and working from home, watching my days blend and pass with only occasional magazine deadline keeping me in check.

However, I do have something to show you, my dear readers. Few days ago I got my sewing machine out to hem some old skirts and as my girl was home with some sickness thing I made a hair band to cheer her up. A super quick project that only needed a small length of fabric, some elastic and 15 minutes of time. It was much easier to make than I first anticipated and I am looking forward to making more of these over the summer to match her dresses and outfits galore. So, give me a shout if you'd like me to put a tutorial together over here, and I'll take plenty of step by step photos next time I am making one of those bands.

  1. So cute! and yes, we totally need a step-by-step!

  2. This is adorable. I'd love a tutorial, if you have the time. My daughters/daughters-in-law sew, also. And I've lots of granddaughters who would love this hairband.

    Thank you!
