Karys

Some time ago I knitted this summery tunic top for my daughter and somehow didn't get to writing it down up until recently.

I usually knit everything in a round and it was fun to do something different for a change and work it flat. 

KARYS
The top is knitted in stocking stitch all over with some garter trimming and easy finishing. Short rows are used to shape the sleeves that flutter freely off the shoulders.

Difficulty - Adventurous beginner - simple increases and decreases, short rows (instructions included) and simple finishing.

To fit size
Chest circumference 20 ½ (22, 23 ½, 25, 27) in / 52 (56,  60, 63.5, 68.5) cm.

Finished chest circumference 
21 (22 ½, 24, 25 ½, 27 ½)  in / 53 (57, 61, 65, 70) cm.
Finished garment length 12 ½ (15 ¾, 17 ¼, 19, 19 ½) in  / 32 (40, 44, 48.5, 49.5) cm.

Yarn 
approximately 325 (340, 365, 390, 420)yrds / 300 (315, 335, 355, 385)m or any yarn which knits to the specified tension.
Sample done in Cathay by Debbie Bliss - 3 (4, 4, 4, 4) balls.
Shown in size 4 with no ease.

Tension
22sts and 30 rows to measure 4x4 in / 10x10 cm in stocking stitch.

Needles and notions
3.5mm (US 4) straight needles
Stitch holder or waste yarn, tapestry needle.
