Twisted Meadow socks

The socks are knitted from toe up with lots of cabling all the way up.

Techniques used are: Figure of 8 Cast On, gusset increases, cabling. Suggested Bind Off method is a Sewn Bind Off. Simple written instructions for Cast on and Bind off are included. You can find more info on Sewn bind off and Figure of 8 Cast on over here.

The pattern is written in two sizes - To fit foot circumference: 23.5cm/9.25in (26.5cm/10.5in).
Actual sock circumference: 21cm/8.25in (24cm/9.5in) unstretched.

You will need around 1 ball of Opal sock yarn (75% virgin wool/ 25% polyamide) 425m/100g. The actual yardage will depend on the sock and length of leg you choose to make. My socks are the smaller size with about 6in leg and took 2/3 of the ball.

28sts and 40rows to 10cm/4in in stocking stitch, it is important to match the stitch gauge
for the socks to fit, matching the row gauge is not critical.

2.5mm (US 2) double pointed needles (dpns) or size needed to obtain gauge, suitable for knitting in the round.
